“Memento Mori Memento Vivere:” An Intimate Conversation about Your Future Death
On November 18, 2024, End in Mind hosted a virtual event that flipped the script on end-of-life conversations. In a rare and candid discussion, veteran journalist and End in Mind Founder Cathy Wurzer was interviewed by death doula Jane Whitlock and mortician Angela Woosley about her personal preferences for end-of-life and death care. Together, they explored the kinds of questions many people avoid and offered attendees both practical insight and emotional depth.
This intimate conversation became a springboard for a broader discussion on the kinds of things we all might want to consider when thinking about our own deaths. From funeral planning to legacy wishes, the event invited participants to reflect on how confronting mortality can inspire a more intentional, vibrant approach to life.
