Goodbye to a Good Boy: A film event about pet love and loss

The End in Mind Project hosted two showings of the documentary GOODBOY by independent filmmaker Ashley Mosher. The film tells the heartfelt story of the bond between a woman and her 15‑year‑old chocolate lab, and the layered journey of grief she faced after losing both her beloved dog and her father in the same year.

Each screening was followed by a thoughtful, guided discussion on love, loss, and healing with Cathy Wurzer (End in Mind Project Founder & Broadcaster), Ashley Mosher (filmmaker), Kristi Lehman, MSW, LISW, CCFP (Vice President of MNPets), Nina Guertin (Pet Doula), and Heidi Brenegan from the event sponsor, Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota.

At both showings, attendees also met wonderful, adoptable dogs through partnerships with Rescue Network and The Bond Between. It was a joy to share space with community members, meaningful stories, and possibilities for new beginnings.
