Life is Short: Enjoy the Ride

Take a Spin on the Carousel

A joyful summer fundraiser at Como Park Zoo

On a beautiful summer day in August, friends and families gathered at Como Park Zoo & Conservatory for an afternoon of laughter, connection, and unlimited rides on the historic Cafesjian Carousel. Guests of all ages hopped on their favorite animals, enjoyed the festive atmosphere, and took full advantage of carousel rides that felt like pure summer magic.

The event brought together our community for more than just fun. Attendees had the chance to meet End in Mind founder and broadcast journalist Cathy Wurzer, connect with special guests, and enjoy games, snacks, and kid-friendly activities throughout the afternoon. From grandparents to grandchildren, the carousel gave everyone a reason to smile—and to slow down and savor the moment.

Most importantly, this fundraiser supported End in Mind’s mission to empower people to prepare for death so they can live more intentionally now. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who joined us, rode the carousel, and helped make this event such a meaningful and memorable success.

Thank you for taking a spin with us—we can’t wait to see you at a future End in Mind event.
